Under helgen drog Warner Music Group bort all sin musik från videosajten YouTube. Detta beroende på att förhandlingarna med YouTubes ägare Google angående ersättningar strandat. Det här påverkar både Warners skivkatalog samt de låtar som företaget äger via sitt förlag Warner/Chappell Music.
”We are working actively to find a resolution with YouTube that would enable the return of our artists content to the site. Until then, we simply cannot accept terms that fail to appropriately and fairly compensate recording artists, songwriters, labels and publishers for the value they provide”, förklarar Warner i ett uttalande.
