Amy Winehouse's father Mitch has claimed that his daughter has spent a "stupid amount" of money on shoes. The former cab driver admitted that the star spent nearly $20,000 (£12,960) on designer footwear during one recent US shopping spree.
"Amy has blown stupid amounts on shoes - she's replaced her drug addiction with a shopping addiction," Mitch, 58, told the Daily Star. "She bought 20 pairs of Jimmy Choo designer shoes in one afternoon. I returned them all to Selfridges. "She'd never wear them, she has two rooms full of unopened, unworn shoes - it's ridiculous, such a waste." Last month, Mitch voiced fears that the Back to Black star was developing a spending addiction.
